When should I come in for my first fitting?

Bridal first fittings should be scheduled twelve weeks prior to your wedding date. If you are aware your dress will require extensive alterations, for example adding sleeves, weight fluctuating etc. then please call us on 01563 537070 to discuss coming in even earlier. This allows us plenty of time to get your dress altered to perfection.

What happens during my fittings?

Once you arrive you’ll be shown to one of our fitting rooms, where our expert bridal technicians will be on hand to help you into your dress. Once you’re in your dress we will sculpt your gown to you. If you have queries or any ideas in mind for your alterations, please share them with us! There are no “silly questions” here and we want this process to be as perfect and stress-free as possible for you.

When is my final fitting, and when do I collect my dress?

Your final fitting appointment will be scheduled for around two weeks prior to your big day, however please don’t stress if your final fitting goes beyond this, we’re just making sure your dress is the perfect fit for you. Dress collection is arranged for the day before your wedding date. This is a unique service we provide, meaning you should be collecting the day before your wedding and heading straight to your wedding venue or the location where you’ll be getting ready ahead of the big day. This means you don’t have to worry about safely storing your dress somewhere between your final fitting date and wedding date (away from pets and little sticky hands)! One of our bridal technicians will talk you through how to care for your dress thereafter. Please note that your collection appointment does not include an additional try-on, as your dress will be steamed, pressed and wrapped in tissue paper ready to be taken away.

How much will my alterations cost?

It’s very important to remember that very rarely does a wedding dress require no alterations at all. We are unaware of exactly what alterations will need to be carried out until you’re in the dress and we can assess the fit, but rest assured we’ll have your dress altered to perfection and all costs will be discussed with you during your appointment.

When do I pay for my alterations?

Full payment for alterations will be due on your first fitting date once they’ve been discussed with you in length including costs. This is to avoid any unexpected costs close to your wedding day. When you book your first fitting appointment with us a £50 deposit will be taken for bridal appointments, whether you are bringing the dress to us or if your dress is being transferred to us from a bridal boutique. All other appointments such as bridesmaids, mother of the bride, proms etc will be charged a £20 deposit at the time of booking. All deposit costs will be deducted from your alterations total.
